A study of houses in ahmedabad old city fabric was being carried out by the Heritage Cell of Ahmedabad . We were invited to work on a single House which was to be restored and done with Heritage value as the focus . With Several inputs from World heritage committee and our own study, We short listed the specific heritage elements which contribute to the distinct character of the pol houses. A blue print was prepared by our team and inputs from experts with International exposure. This along with a short video presentation was presented to the Heritage committee lead by panel of emmininent architects, and urban designers,Heritage experts from ASI and the commissioner of Ahmedabad .
The blue print is a standard format for approval for heritage Status project . It is in a Two A2 size format, Meant to be used as record and take necessary authority permission.The objective was to ensure that the authority can grant permission for the detoriated structures and ensure that the heritage value is not compromised . More than 11000 structures are listed by the experts which require careful monitoring and execution for Pol city of Ahmedabad to bag the world heritage staus.
